What is a private line?

A private line is a relay phone number you hand out instead of your own — calls and texts pass through to your phone while your real number stays hidden. Burn it and it goes quiet in both directions. Graduate it and one tap reveals your real number.

The burner number alternative built for trust — paired with an encrypted contact vault that does what a personal CRM only gestures at: it remembers people, privately.

02 The vault Memory, not surveillance

L.1 One line per context Provision a relay number for Dating, Marketplace, Networking — or for one person. Hand it out instead of your own. It is a real, working number that reaches you.
L.2 Relay through Calls and texts pass through to your phone. The thread lives in the vault, attached to the person — message bodies are never retained on our servers.
L.3 Burn The line dies, both directions. The thread archives. No notification to the other party — it simply goes unreachable, like any number that changes. Your real number was never exposed.

E.1 Privacy shields identity It never deceives about conduct. A line is presented honestly — a real, working number that reaches a real person. We protect reachability, not catfishing.
E.2 Burn is mutual respect Burning blocks contact both ways and confirms nothing to the other party. No "you've been burned" notification that invites retaliation. It simply goes quiet.
E.3 Memory, not surveillance Notes are about your interactions. No location tracking of other people. No social-media scraping. No "find their address" — that capability exists on the business side, deliberately not here.
E.4 Anti-harassment on our rails An abuse report on a relay thread suspends the line pending review. Carrier rules and STOP keywords are honored on relay traffic exactly as in business comms — one gate, one codebase.
E.5 We cannot read your vault End-to-end encrypted, keys held by you. We cannot sell it, leak it, or be subpoenaed into a gossip file. The ciphertext is the privacy policy.

Is Vyan Personal really end-to-end encrypted?

Yes. The vault is encrypted on your device and stored as ciphertext, with keys held by you. We cannot read it, sell it, or be subpoenaed into a gossip file. The architecture is the privacy policy.

What happens when I burn a line?

The line goes quiet in both directions. No bounce, no notification to the other party — it simply becomes unreachable, like any number that changes. The thread archives in your vault, and your real number was never exposed.

Can I move from a burner app?

Yes. Provision a Line per context, hand it out instead of your number, and log the people worth keeping into the vault. Unlike a burner app, a line here has two endings — burn it, or graduate it to your real number when trust matures.
