01 · Definition Plain terms, two endings

What is a private line?

A relay number you hand out instead of your own. Calls and texts reach your phone. Your real number stays hidden.

It is the burner number, rebuilt for trust. Every line has two endings, and you pick which one.

Silent
It stops reaching you, like any number that changes. The thread is filed away.
Burn, the quiet exit
Ending two · GraduateRevealed
One tap reveals your numberYou trust them now · the thread moves to native SMS
Graduated
The payoff. Vyan wins when a relationship outgrows it.
Graduate, the trust payoff
02 · The vault Memory, not surveillance

Log a person in five seconds.

Leave one voice note. The vault turns it into a person: where you met, the moments, the people they know. Then it queues your next touch, so you remember without trying.

Your contacts app is where these details die. "Mike from Hinge", "Sarah from the conference", stuck to a number you can never take back. This replaces it.

03 · Lines One line, four stages
L.1 One line per context Make a relay number for dating, the marketplace, networking, or one person. Hand it out instead of your own.
L.2 Relay through Calls and texts reach your phone. The thread lives in the vault, tied to the person. We never store your message text.
L.3 Burn The line goes quiet, both directions. No alert to the other person. The thread is filed away.
L.4 Graduate One tap reveals your real number and moves the thread to native SMS. The line earns its way out.

04 · The Exchange Tap to share · NFC / QR

Two phones tap. You choose the card.

You decide what crosses, never the app. They get a clean contact card. You get a vault entry with the time and place attached. Slide the control to see it.

The Black NFC card carries this in your pocket. The same card you tap for business.

E.1 Privacy, not disguise A line never lies about who you are. It is a real, working number that reaches a real person. We protect how you reach out, not catfishing.
E.2 Burn is mutual respect Burning blocks contact both ways and tells the other person nothing. No "you have been burned" alert that invites payback. It just goes quiet.
E.3 Memory, not surveillance Notes are about your own interactions. We do not track people, scrape social media, or find anyone's address. That power is not here, on purpose.
E.4 Anti-harassment on our rails Report abuse on a relay thread and we pause the line for review. We honor carrier rules and STOP keywords. One gate, one codebase.
E.5 We cannot read your vault End-to-end encrypted, and you hold the keys. We cannot sell it, leak it, or hand it over under a subpoena. This is the keystone. Every other promise rests on it.

Receipts, not promises.

06 · Pricing Honest about its costs

Free is the product. Black is the rest.

The vault, one line, and the Exchange are free for life. Black is for when you run a lot of lines: more lines, AI structuring, and the next-touch dispatcher.

Lines cost us real phone fees, so Black and line packs pass those through. The vault is cheap because we cannot read it. We charge for the relay, never for your memory.

07 · Questions Asked before buying
Q.1 Is Vyan Personal really end-to-end encrypted?
Yes. The vault is encrypted on your device and stored as ciphertext. You hold the keys. We cannot read it, sell it, or hand it over under a subpoena. The architecture is the privacy policy.
Q.2 What happens when I burn a line?
The line goes quiet in both directions. No bounce, no alert to the other person. It just stops reaching you, like any number that changes. The thread is filed in your vault, and your real number was never shown.
Q.3 Can I move from a burner app?
Yes. Make a Line for each context. Hand it out instead of your number. Save the people worth keeping in the vault. Unlike a burner app, a line here has two endings. Burn it, or graduate it to your real number when you trust the person.
Q.4 I lost my phone. Can I recover the vault?
Yes, with your recovery key. The vault is end-to-end encrypted, so only your key restores it on a new device. Save it when you set up Black, the way you would a seed phrase. We hold no copy and cannot reset it for you. That is the cost of being unreadable, and it is the point.
Q.5 Can I port a relay Line to a real carrier number?
A relay Line is a number we run for you. So you cannot port it to another carrier the way you can a SIM number. Graduate is the way to move on. When you trust the person, one tap reveals your real number and moves the thread to native SMS. If you cancel a Line, it retires after a quiet window. It does not transfer.
Q.6 What happens to my vault if I cancel Black?
It is yours. The vault stays readable, and you can export it. Your Black features step down to the free tier instead of going dark. Active relay lines retire after a quiet window, so no one is left texting a number that no longer reaches you.
